Anyone watch Dear Zachary on MSN? What a tribute. I'm watching it now and want to hug his friend who made the documentary and Andrew's parents.

10:52 edit- I am now watching the end of this show. I don't have any words.

wow so glad someone else saw this.... I'm still in shambles from seeing this about 6 hours ago. I was arrested by the editing and concept, but the outcome was not expected. I wasn't ready to hear what happened. Makes me want to videotape everything. I just saw the Chicago 10 doc on PBS last night and was ready to call it the best doc I've seen all year, but now I'm not so sure.....

I'm sorry that I watched it. I was expecting a positive ending and when it took that turn, I cried out involuntarily and woke my kids up- both came running from their bedrooms asking what was wrong.

I agree- it was brilliantly made. But I am just so disturbed by it- I wish I had not seen it. I guess it's the holidays and doing things with my kids this weekend, as it affected me much more than the one that Christine Amanpour (sp) has out on genocide. It makes no sense, my reaction to Dear Zachary as compared to so many other atrocities.

I'll have to look for a rerun of the PBS one that you mentioned.

if we can find anything redeeming from this story, is knowing that zachary's grandparents are now activists and have successfully forced laws to change and incompetent people were fired or quit. I believe the psychologist had to serve time too...
I'm still sad from seeing this doc... Very very powerful

It's one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. I was shocked at the outcome ... as if there weren't enough weepy moments ...

Kudos to Andrew's friends and to his parents ... wow, they are amazing people.

I couldn't sleep last night and missed it when it was on earlier in the night. I saw the repeat but then fell asleep so I missed what you all are talking about.

Agreed..I didn't even plan on watching this program, let alone having any knowledge that it was coming on. I just happened across it while surfing. Best two hours I have spent in a while. I definitely experienced a wide range of emotions, from sadness, joy to downright seething anger.

I saw this the other day and thought that was such a touching tribute. I did not expect the outcome either, I thought that Zachery would be living with the G-parents. The memory of Andrew and Zac will live on forever for all that loved them so deeply.

I thought it was so interesting that all of those friends wanted Andrew to be the Best Man at their weddings...they all are very fortunate to have had someone like that in their lives.
