Brooklyn D.A. is a new 6-part reality/documentary series starting tonight at 10pm EST, taking a behind-the-scenes look at the largest urban district attorney's office in the country. Check out a preview here. I think it looks pretty interesting!

I've seen the promos and was wondering if it was true crime, or just filmed in a gritty realistic way. This should be interesting -- love the true crime stuff.

I watched about 10 min. of it. I didn't care for the extreme closeups of people's faces, nor the fast-forward montage video of all of the NY areas -- a few seconds of that is ok, but not a few minutes!!

I liked it ok. They don't spend a ton of time exploring each story, but it does give you a better picture of the time and energy that can be spent on one case that may or may not end in a conviction. I could never be a prosecutor but I have a lot of respect for what they do.

I watched and will watch again. I like that it is real life. Sorta reminded me of "Homicide: Life on the Street" although, the show was not real life per se, it was made after a book of a Baltimore detective.

I liked it and will watch again. It will be interesting to see what happens with the home surveillance and if they are able to catch the art thief and convict him.

And we STILL don't know. lol Didn't realize stories carried over to the next show.

Last night was the first time I watched. Don't care for how they switch back and forth between stories. I wasn't prepared to pay that close of attention, so I missed a lot. I'll watch it again if I happen to be watching when it comes on, but it's not a can't-miss show for me.

Lilly, I think the art thief will not be caught until the last show.

Oh, okay. Kinda strange that guy is trying to emulate Columbo. Cracked me up!
