It's a part of my childhood, and I hope I can get the title of it...in fact I remember everything EXCEPT the title. The flow of it was kind of like the flow of Mr. Rogers, and it also used puppetry like Mr. Rogers, but I remember every time the show began, the main actor/person would move a leafy branch out of the way to duck into a hollow log, which came out into a wooded area where the puppets were found. Anyone remember a show that started out this way?
