Is Brighthouse owned by Time Warner? I know that Time Warner used to be the Orlando cable provider before Brighthouse but I don't know if they're affiliated.

It wouldn't be the end of the world, esp. since most of the area gets a decent OTA signal from FOX35. I've got Bright House cable and am not worried, but if I really wanted FOX, I'd just add an OTA antenna. I do think they'll work to get it settled before 24/American Idol, but not before the Sugar Bowl. Maybe they'll be nice and air it anyway.
Has anybody noticed that the internet speed has gotten WAY slower? I got a postcard in the mail from them bragging about how they've given me higher speed at no additional cost, and it seems like ever since my pages take forever to load or won't load, and then I had 2 days where the internet was down. I'm getting a little fed up with the whole deal. Too bad they're the only cable company around (or at least I think they are).

I wouldn't be so sure if it will make watching the sugar bowl a problem... I read an article about how this same thing happened to time Warner in NY during the world series this year, and it was scheduled to go off during Game 5, and ... it didn't... and I believe they hammered out a deal sometime later.. its supposedly a normal way to scare cable companies into a deal, but releasing a tidbit that they will cut service so customers flip out and they then cave to the high demands

This is interesting and different in that Fox had traditionally been provided to cable providers for FREE (their income coming from advertising etc) but not, I guess with the economy, they feel the need to begin charging fees. They are permitted to continue providing services....let's see if they do until their arrangements are settled.
