Default Just an update of this one:

But an Aldi employee told me, this store, in his word, is expecting to be "slammed" when opened, so they are working on "coping" with this event. Another Aldi is planned to be built in Tyler, according to him, not newspaper, that land was just bought on S. Broadway near Academy, but is not expected to be finished until late next year.

Tyler Morning Telegraph - Discount grocery store Aldi aims for fall opening of Tyler store

I've had it explained to me why it's been so long for an Aldi coming to Tyler or East Texas for that matter or expanding in general. Aldi is difficult to find vendors, close enough with enough quantity to support all new stores they are building, or any store they build, like the Tyler store will get diary products from Texarkana, to supply Tyler and Longview for now, and other stores I'm sure.

We need to remember Aldi has to compete with all the other stores for quantities sufficient to stock all the stores all the time at the price target they "aim" to accomplish. Not a especially easy task, lol

I kept driving by this in the day, until at night last week end and notice a big crowd. So decided to google and see what was the attraction.
Well, this is unique for a town/city Tyler's size. A little too "much", expensive, shhhhhh, for me, lol. But, younger crowd, different, read some of the reviews, yeah, working on some of the "issues".

This is a fairly large area, looks like a wooded park and as it says, gardens.

Default Thanks Vavi78

After years on city-data.com I've had thoughts of "retiring" lol. MetroMatt, moved on, so, I hope YOU would continue to post the larger and smaller "stuff" about Tyler.

I don't know if I can break this habit/addiction, I've had a hard enough time with my 2 liter Cherry Dr. Pepper addiction. lol Thanks, in advance.

Tyler Morning Telegraph - Pierre de Wet is inspiration behind $1 million donation to Breckenridge Village of Tyler

Tyler Morning Telegraph - Sake Sushi - a new Asian fusion restaurant - to open Monday in The Shops at Old Bullard

More, small stuff. Trying to find out what is to be built on the corner of West Grande and Holly Tree, Southeast Corner and Northwest Corner. There are about 9 developments under construction, just completed or planned on East and West Grande.
