Golden Corral is open. My wife drove by it today. She said it was packed. I guess I'll wait until it dies down before we go.

IKEA would be nice, though having one a few hours away has generally been my experience elsewhere. It's OK.

I strongly prefer Natural Grocer to Whole Foods for a number of reasons, not least that Whole Foods still continues to sell conventional and GM foods. If they were here it'd probably be better than not, but I don't see a big win there.

A really big independent book store like Powell's in Portland Oregon or Tattered Cover in Denver would be great.

Used to love Trader Joe's, especially for their Sutter's Formula cookies! They came in to a smaller metro area (about 400-600k) so maybe they could count all of east texas and bring it on in.

I could not tell for sure if you DID know, there is a Natural Grocers on South Broadway, just, south of being across the street from the Broadway Mall.

Also, Tyler's, official, metro area is 225,000 so not likely to get the stores you mentioned. However, if you included Longview's metro, next door, lo,. then you would get the well over 400.000 metro population, but again, the two are about 35-40 miles apart, downtown to downtown, and neither growing toward each other over the last 70 years, I see no change in that in the future.
