Eagles Bluff just sent everyone a "special assessment" bill of over a thousand bucks so they'd have extra money in the coffers. (personally, I think it's to pay all the men who take care of the golf course and the landscaping at the entrance). The tax bill was over $3200 alone PLUS the monthly HOA charge of $250 our real estate agent never mentioned to us. What I want to do is send people special assessment bills with little if any explanation. Then when you go to the club to eat your bill has not only a spot to put your tip, under that is a space for "extra gratuity." Are you kidding me?
If you are thinking about moving here make sure you bring PLENTY of money . It costs a fortune to live somewhere that has zero solicitors ringing your doorbell. That's the reason for the HOA bill I suppose.
Because they sure don't care for your yard. Heck; these people have guys mowing and trimming shrubs all throughout winter!
My advice for you youngsters? Live beneath your means, pay cash for everything and buy little.

I know this is a very old thread but it looks like folks keep posting updates. We purchased a lot in Eagle's Bluff and could not be happier. Being transplants we wanted a community with social activities and it fit the bill for us. There is new building going on in fact I believe seven houses (including ours) are going up now and I know of at least one more starting in August.

I'm happy that this lovely community is getting some new life breathed into it.
