I was wondering, is there any reason why the Puerto Rico Lottery does not offer Powerball and/or Mega Millions?

The Puerto Rico Lottery is the only U.S. lottery commission that doesn't offer either game. The USVI Lottery at least offers Powerball.

Does anyone think that the Puerto Rico Lottery will ever offer one or both of those lottery games? I personally think they should.

According to Wikipedia...

Powerball

MegaMillions

Is it just me or are there other states without both?

I guess it's up to the Lottery Commission. They are more focused on controversial legislation that would allow the proliferation of video-lottery machines. Hotels are against it, but the government wants it because they need money. Many people agree these should remain within casinos inside tourism zones, citing crime as a reason not to proceed with this legislation. So it's a fight within the government agencies lol. Money talks.

Currently, many stores have installed these illegally, so the government has no guarantee the money they pull in is the correct figure. In addition, they have no idea how many video-lottery machines have been installed.

Those states (Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming) don't have lottery commisions at all. The Puerto Rico Lottery is the only U.S. lottery commision without Powerball nor Mega Millions.
