What's in store for San Juan, PR? Any big projects? Plans to improve walkability? I know Old San Juan is going car free among other things but what about other areas of San Juan, PR like Condado

2 more huge malls. Not helping the walkable situation.
maybe more tall buildings. They might help. Of course Ciudadela if ya'll haven't heard of it.

I doubt walkability is on top of the list. They built a light rail to some of the cities and it works fine...but getting the project to go was a mess, and corrupt as well. Only those that cannot afford a car use public transportation.

San Juan did a big proposal, so that sounds pretty walkable.
The heavy rail metro system, Tren Urbano, did have a few problems, but I wouldn't describe the construction project as a "mess", all the fault lies on the private sector's attempt to pocket extra federal money. Sigh, PPPs can suck sometimes.
