Puerto Rico?

I don't know anyone here putting down Puerto Rico. What I do notice is some wanting to identify as Puerto Rican yet they don't know Spanish , have a rosy distorted view of us and doesn't get that Puerto Ricans when together having beers love to talk about status politics to the point of some things sounding anti-American.
It seems there are people who don't understand our ways or conversations, which are full of jokes, (relajos) use words such as Gringo, depending on the context and display general camaraderie. To distort and want to change what they don't understand or ever will, will cause friction and Puerto Ricans "le sacaran el calzo" , run the other way.
Dropping the phony " I know more about Puerto Rico than anybody because I know some Puerto Ricans", who might even be Dominicans, doesn't convince the majority of us. Just cool it bro, learn about us but don't pull a fast one saying you know more about Puerto Rico than a native who's lived all their life on the island.

Who would that native be? You spent almost your entire adult life in the US. You spent 35 years in the US and less than that here. Why are you so bitter? what happened to you in the US? Were we not nice to you?

The other day I mentioned PR. Com in a statehood troll infested group, LOL and I received one response from an ex member from here. It might be Another Rican, or any number of past characters who came here to discuss or insult. There is a fine line between discussion and insults, personal insults should always be excluded.

Given the ideological rift there is on the island and also among state side it's inconceivable that posters won't get angry and try to sell their ideology.

One of the responders said that there is censorship on this board, which may or may not be. However why is City Data Puerto Rico used so much when this forums, which has a similar format is dead?

The same person commented on Cafe Boricua, some of the comments were insulting to its administrator. I've lost contact with this forum because it format is difficult for me and it's become more like face with posting of family , something that erodes it's seriousness.

I understand that being an administrator is no easy job, but this forum has hit bottom. Why is it that forums I mentioned are thriving while this one , that is practically the same format, is not.

Because City Data is a forum of fluff, tips , nothing substantial, a poster was asking why not form a make a forum for only Puerto Rican topics. I wrote that there is one that needs reviving, no body knows it exists.

2) I'm not Another Rican but I have debated both moderators in that forum years ago, Fearless and her "alicate", Tipoconsuerte about politics and ideology and my days were numbered when I questioned the "facts" of their PRO P.R. independence/socialist/ anti-american gospel (when people used to bother to write in that forum a long time ago). If you make the moderators look clueless or challenge them they will censor you and ban you. That's why there isn't anybody left except you who bothers to post there. Maybe the reason Fearless hasn't ban you is you are both the same, PRO Independence and anti-Americans who have lived most of your lives in the states......go figure!


3) When a forum gets a bad reputation because the moderators are bias and the rules don't apply to them and use censorship and the debates/personal attacks are 1 sided with the moderators having the last word which is censorship its hard to start fresh and bring new people in with the same people running the place to the ground.


4) an organization is as good as the people who run it.....if P.R.COM forum was a business or an institution it would have gone bankrupt a looong time ago and the moderators/administrators FIRED!!! but what I heard is the owners of P.R.COM that pay for the servers are Europeans and are clueless about the forums since they make their $$$$ in advertisements and tourism in the other sections of the web page.



5) What I said about Cafe Boricua and the owner who is another ANTI-AMERICAN Puerto Rican who was born in the states and lived most of her life in the U.S.A but refuses to live in P.R. when she is a PRO-ELA/PPD supporter and bashes Puerto Ricans who are PRO USA/Stehood was not an insult. What do you call a person that befriends posters in her forum, learns personal stuff about them and uses that to talk shiat behind their backs with her "alicates PPD" to ridicule them in her forum because of politics/ideology?.....isn't that what we Puerto Ricans call a "CHISMOSA"......what do you call a person that constantly is asking for money to pay for her forum because she is too lazy to get a job and stays home all day OVER-Moderating debates in her forum? isn't that a turn off for anybody especially from people you don't know personally?.........that's why I and many people left.



6) You want to give advise to the administration in P.R.COM.....Tell them fire the moderators or close the shop but its kinda late for that.

You raise some interesting points clip314.

The last time we seriously censored posts was when we had someone who turned every topic into a platform for trading insults. At the request of some forum members we banned this member.

Who knows if that was the right thing to do? But people should be able to express their points of view without personal attacks.

It is not accurate to say we censor posts. It is more accurate to say we have no posts to censor.

We are certainly open to suggestions on how to change this.

this gets more of a joke by P.R.COM ADMIN......who is "WE"...its sounds like its a corporate board running a dead forum....LMAO!!

MikeRavens was banned in 2012 at the request of Yujike because he is an Obama lover and didn't want no one debating him, he wanted the forum to himself and made the forum the unofficial Obama forum, He also got Charlie banned and many others who were conservative politically.

Yeah 1 person caused the whole forum to suck for years! Even after years that he has been banned, that is the lame explanation by the people who run that forum, the ADMIN is clueless.


ADMIN writes: "We are certainly open to suggestions on how to change this"...............yeah quit and close the forum, what do she cares, she doesn't pay to keep the servers up.
