What should I (Female) wear to a graduate school interview in Puerto Rico? I know I must be professional, but it is pretty warm. Should I stick with the traditional long sleeve dark black/navy suit with coat?

You can certainly wear that, if that's what you will be taking with you. And maybe the long sleeve can be substituted for a short sleeve one, which will be under the top jacket.
Just don't wear anything that doesn't look proffesional.
Wish you good luck in your interview!!

I agree. I would wear a short sleeve blouse under the lightest long-sleeved suit you own. I don't think it has to be a dark color though. Best of luck.
