Thanks everyone!!!! Also a quick question: What is the probability of a mainlander moving to PR or the VI with Business Degrees and experience finding a decent paying job? Im kinda lookin for a change. Again, any help is greatly appreciated!
Not as easy as you might think in the USVI. Because the attrition rate of newbies is so high it's not likely you'll even get an interview if you're not already on island. Couple that with the fact that unemployment here is at a record high and many locals and longtime residents are scrambling for jobs; you're going to be pretty much at the bottom of the totem pole.
If you do consider it, go to this website and read everything:
I would say Puerto Rico is in the same situation as the previous Reply. We currently are at 16% of unemployment and things are getting worst for the professionals each passing day.
You gotta add that Puerto Ricans are generally "well educated" with more than 50% of HS graduates continuing to a Bachelors Degree. Many even completed 1 or 2 Masters degrees just to try to land a good job. Since education here is so affordable (compared to the mainland Universities) many puertoricans just keep getting degree after degree in hopes of a better job.

Again, thanks all for the honest responses. I plan on taking a trip to PR for a week to see what's good over there. Thanks!
