I really don't know where this would be common. Even in Puerto Rico it is not common and we know in Mexico it is not common. LOL Where are the Mexi-Rican couples if their are some and what is the ratio? 1 in every 10,000 couples. 1 Mexican Rican couple for every 10,000 Mexican couples or greater?

are you a marriage stat expert? very rare? Its not rare at all that latinos and even Americans marry outside of their culture, race and country. It depends of the individual and how open and mature he/she is to other cultures and traditions to make the marriage/relationship work. I can make any marriage work if we put 100% into it regardless of race or culture. As long that we have great communication and common goals in life.

I can't speak for every Mexican but the general problem they have as a culture when they date or marry outside of their race, culture and country is that they are very "MACHISTA", the most of any Latin country that seems stuck from centuries ago and the drinking. They drink alcohol like its the end of the world. If a Mexican can adjust those 2 things, he will have a good chance in making it in a relationship with another race/culture especially with American/European women.

By the way, Puerto Rican women know that most of the time a Mexican wants to hook up with them, its probably for the green card or the appearance of and the MACHISMO is an issue.

My grandmother used to say: "Si vas a mezclar las razas en la familia, hazlo para mejorar no empeorar la raza".......jejejejeje

To the Moderator:

Please close these threads which turn into nothing more than tit-for-tat jabs at each other.

These threads are suppose to be about US Territories and concerns there of. This is not suppose to be about racial/cultural differences between Latinos.

Most of us come here to share experiences and anecdotes which lend cheer to our lives and build us up.

Discussions which tear us down are negative, not positive, destructive, not constructive.

I've witnessed forums which have self-destructed precisely because of discussions such as these.

Is that what we want?

Please, let's stop this, or at the very least, let's not participate in pointless feuds.

It's an exageration
it's like saying that Californians should stay in California because they won't be welcomed in any other state
