My wife, daughter, and I might have to move to Guam in Summer of 2013. Anyone have any tips or recommendations?

Hafa Adai,
My family moved here site unseen about 18 mo ago. It's ok. We are not military. If you decide to live on base you will likely rarely leave it. That's the norm. Guam's ok... you will be fine since you will have all the military benefits.

Are you Navy or Airforce? My husband and I have been stationed at the Naval base for about 6 months now. We both really like it. Base housing is small, but if you like living with the military community it's a good option. We live out in town, since OHA can get you some really beautiful housing. Anything specific you want to know?

I am moving there in June with my daughter, son-in-law (who's in the Navy) and their 2 kids. They want to live off base but in a community with other very young kids. Where do you recommend?
