For those of you who have visited Puerto Rico and have been in west coast of the island (Porta del Sol), which area you like the most?

I am from PR and personally like the west more.

I loved the west coast! Rincon and Cabo Rojo were my favorite, my Fiance loved San German and La Parguera.

Agreed. I love the southwest. San German was an amazing town to visit. Also, Guanica. The west is so beautiful. I also like the south, near Ponce. The landscape is just spectacular down there. I tired of the north...too much rain at times. I'm probably moving either south or southwest.

That Playa Sucia in Cabo Rojo is one of the nicest beaches I have ever been to.

I live in Rincon and as far as I'm concerned this is the best of Puerto Rico on all levels. I'm in the country (the municipality only has 15000 people..the pueblo only 4200) but I'm close enough to Aguadilla and Mayaguez to do shopping and enjoy the arts! The ONLY drawbacks to PR is Padilla and the rest of the idiots in San Juan who have managed to raise a tax on Gas, IVA, and IVU.

As an outsider I like rincon, didn't much like mayaguez. Generally love the southwest for its laid back feel. On the whole an juan is the only real city if you're a city person, ponce is still a ghost of its former self. San German has much potential

Very different vibes. It's like Honolulu vs the North Shore. Both great but it's uptempo city life vs laid back beach life.
