Astonished by my low salary from teaching in Puerto Rico, what are the varying salary ranges from top private and public schools in Puerto Rico vs. other islands in the Caribbean? Particularly for those starting off in the educational field. It would be nice to have some ideas as on this forum, I've seen several posts requesting more information regarding how to find a teaching job in the Caribbean. Hopefully this will help others as they select a Caribbean location to look for future employment.

Within Puerto Rico, I've heard of salaries starting from as low as 15,000 a year to as high as 35,000 - depending on the school and responsibilities.
