Moving to Puerto Rico (apartments, rent, vacation home)

My boyfriend and I are moving to Puerto Rico for the winter, we are looking at staying in Rincon. Will we be able to find affordable housing? All we can find are expensive vacation homes? Also, should we buy a car or is there enough reliable transportation in Rincon & around the island? Any and all advice would be appreciated.

Plus, you will have to purchase a car or rent one for a while. There is not reliable public transport, except for the major tourist district, Old San Juan, Isla Verde, Condado. But, taxis are always an option as well in your area and since tourist visit there frequently, they should be readily available. Good luck.
