I will be possibly moving shortly to st Thomas due to my boyfriends job opportunity. I use to live on St. John and feel familiar with that island however I am having some set backs with pre planning/looking for options with moving to st Thomas. First off different from my last move with just a suitcase; he will be shipping his vehicle and all of our furniture/ belongings along with a dog and two cats. I am finding it difficult to find an unfurnished apartment and and pet friendly one. Please help... it needs to be either by frenchmans area or redhook and in the in-between the two. It can be located somewhere easy for him to get to marriott frenchmans reef since he will not be use to driving on the island or on the left side. Thanks in advance.

Check out the classified ad section at VIMovingCenter (and place your own ad there) along with craigslistvi. It's very tricky to rent something sight unseen particularly with all the animals involved. It might be a good idea for you to come down a week or so before he does, stay somewhere temporarily (check Rhoda's Place at Tilllett Gardens or Crystal Palace B&B above town), rent a car and get out to find a place. Alternatively, leave the pets with friends if at all possible and send for them once you've found a place. Many landlords advertise their vacancies on roadside signs! It's always convenient to find a place close to work but, as you know, nothing is too far from anywhere. Your boyfriend will very easily adapt to the driving just like thousands of visitors do every year within their first couple of hours!

Hope that helps a little, and good luck!

Why are you looking for unfurnished?
