Is this in Fajardo? On the west coast in Mayaguez there are some factories that produce uniforms and body armor for the US military ... but with the wars winding down and sequester imposed cutbacks who knows how much longer they will be in operation.
IMO what is killing manufacturing in Puerto Rico is the electric costs. I propose building an undersea energy cable between Puerto Rico and Florida which would allow Puerto Rico to receive electricity from the mainland and reduce the reliance on PREPA and it's oil based plants.
