As you know I was trying to find someone to adopt this dog, this was just one of 4 forums that I was posting to. I also worked with 2 on-island friends, animal warden and a local stx shelter.

I think my friends were afraid (or too good) to go to that beach and check on her for me, although from there condo and work place look over the that beach.

Both the warden and shelter stopped responding to my email.

I guess I was just being foolish, thinking I could save a little dog, when in reality she truly is just 1 of millions throughout the islands.

I'm sure your concern made a big difference to that little dog - we may not know the results but your making people aware of her situation helps. I too wish she was safe in a loving home or in the process of being adopted, winging her way here - it may happen, who knows. She's lovely and looks like she has a friendly outgoing personality and could adapt to a new home/situation, please keep us posted on her situation and thanks for caring.

Why not make an effort to care for the dog yourself?

Maybe because the OP does not live in the Virgin Islands but was vacationing here when he met the dog. Maybe you skipped reading the whole thread?
