So I read in the paper today that some oversight committee came up with fiscal guidelines to balance PRs budget, but the governor said, hell no, we aren't doing that. So some of us are wondering, where does he get off, dictating to the folks who are supporting them?

there is a bird on the island called the guaraguao.

it is large and powerful. apex predator. big beak. sharp claws.

but,

there is another bird - a pitirre that is much much smaller.

doesnt really compare.

and when the guaraguao comes near to the pitirre's nest looking for a fight... what happens?

the pitirre will chase the bigger bird away!

it pecks at its eyes in midflight. it is an amazing sight.

anyway. the big bird goes away and leaves the pitirre alone.

such a big powerful bird - disrespected!! and by such a smaller bird!!

but the guaraguao doesnt take it personally. so neither should you.

Oh, I don't. Really I don't blame PR for wanting to be left alone. I just wondered how people there feel about it, or if they don't really think about it at all.
My newest daughter in law is from there, and she says her family really doesn't seem to concern themselves with politics very much.
