First and foremost, the following video is in Spanish. Over several days afterr seeing that video I searched for a similar one in English and couldn't find it.

----

On February 12, 2022 this video was uploaded to Youtube of a Special Report done by Telemundo 31 from Orlando, Florida. The topic is that Puerto Ricans are returning to Puerto Rico at a greater rate than those moving out of the island. They estimate that in 2021 some 20,925 Puerto Rican families moved back to Puerto Rico while 7,950 Puerto Rican families moved from the island to the US mainland. Apparently, the trend has been since 2018. Also, the main reason expressed by returning Puerto Ricans is their faith in the future economic development of the island.

What is the perception of Puerto Rican members of City-Data?

Do you get the impression that there is a trend of Puerto Ricans moving back to the island greater than moving out?

Do you know any examples?

I'm not surprised. Outside of a category 5 hurricane that comes every 80 years or so, Puerto Rico is a good place to live or retired like the couple in the video because they are used to that life. Their kids are grown up so that generation stays in the states.

By the way, what's up with the woman's blouse and the holes? Puerto Rican female anchors in the island get away with that. They are not supposed to call attention from the news or make it about their fashion. Puerto Rican media is still garbage and needs to take things serious.

I think she looks nice. I wish more American news people knew how to dress.

Looking nice is not the issue. News isn't supposed to be a night club. When you are a news anchor, your clothes shouldn't be the center of attention. The news is. Most American news anchors look professional. What's next, women anchors showing a tight skirt with lots of cleavage. Is that going to bring in the ratings above the news?

Her blouse is for a night club and dancing not for a serious news channel. I seen serious news around the world from BBC and Europe and I like to keep it serious. I like my news above the fashion of the news anchor person. I want to focus on the news not what men want to do to the anchor.

yeah, that's what I'm looking for in a serious news channel. Hot women dressed like they are going to Studio 54. I'm sure that was the main criteria why she got the job over serious people. I watch a lot of t.v. programs from Puerto Rico and this is the garbage they are pushing all day. Dumb women who looks hot trying to be serious. I grew up in Puerto Rico when the tv news was classy and respectable and now? Well.

What P.R. tv now is full of Puerto Rican's like Burbu taking over the airwaves and acting like journalists. The garbage in Puerto Rico's tv is over the top. I'm old school Puerto Rican and I remember our classy news. It was real good with professionals and serious people. Even our comedy in tv was classy back then. Now is insulting, not funny, sexist and degrading.
