Me and my friend are plan on visiting San Juan in december. What is the cheap and yet ok place to stay in for 3 days? none of us never saw an ocean before so that's what we are going for. Smth close to the beach is the preferred place. Also can someone suggest what are the places there to see if we'll go on a walking tour.

I can suggest a self-guided walking tour of Old San Juan.

There are a lot of things to see, including 2 forts, the cathedral, the city wall, lots of outdoor art, restaurants and shopping galore. If you get tired of walking, there's always the free trolley, horse carriage rides, or a Segway tour to take you around.

You could also take the ferry across the bay (or a taxi around the bay) and visit Bacardi for a free rum factory tour.

If you're looking for something to do in the evenings there are many clubs, also many shows with live music and dancing, and a guided night-time walking tour of the old city.

Hope this helps!

Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn are pretty cheap and I recommend both.
There's also Acadia and Wind Chimes both nice and reasonably priced.
All of which are in Condado and close to the beach.

There's a slew of things to see in Old San Juan and Condado and well the entire Metro Area. Stay out as late as you like but stay in populated places... if you do.

Now if you want to leave the metro area and explore the island, which I suggest you do, there's a long list of things you should see and do.

Hi, try the COQUI INN if you are looking for cheap and good just steps away from the Isla Verde beach as low as 59.00 a night student special. Nice and clean with tv, fridge and friendly service. good luck! Gato!

Watch out for the places that rent out for a few days EL PRADO VILLAS were the worst rip-off but were written about on many travel sites. Hidden charges- pain in the ass to get them there on time- bad attitude.
