Hi,
I saw your posting in regards to obtaining a Dental License on Guam. I have been going back and forth with the Dept. of Public Health including trying to speak with the Director Mr. Gillan. I am a native of Guam and have been working in the dental field for over 20 years now. I know that when I was there several years back [working with Catholic Social Services] they did not have a place to refer their consumers that were medically compromised or that were too young to receive treatment in a normal dental setting.
We proposed to Dept. of Public Health to come in from California and provide these needed services and like many other potential dentist willing to transfer we have been shot down before even going forward.
Who do we contact to obtain a Dental License on Guam and what would we need to provide them? If you could help me with this information I would greatly appreciate it. [mod]snip[/mod]
Thank you,

Default Hi

I am a foreign trained dentist and wanting to work in GUAM. What would I need to do in order to get my licence to practice Dentistry there? Do I need to sit written and practical exams?

Hi, I am originally from Guam and looking to commute from California to Guam to do dentistry in an outpatient surgery center. We are a two man team both of us are Dentist and Dental Anesthesiologist. We would provide treatment to those patients that have to be placed under General Anesthesia to complete their treatment. Usually small children and special needs consumers. I know that Catholic Social Service has a program called Respite Care that helps consumers from 1 year old to 60 years of age all I presume are special needs. We would be able to help them as well. How would we be able to obtain a license to practice dentistry there and provide this service to the community of Guam and the outer laying islands?
Thank you
