The reason you can't find any info is because there is no such animal as a "water taxi" between PR and the USVI. There is an off and on weekend ferry occasionally but if you look at the open water distance between PR and St Thomas you'd understand why this isn't a viable option where traveling between PR and the USVI is concerned. There is regular ferry service between STT and St John (10 minutes) and between STT/STJ and the British Virgin Islands (35 minutes) and also an off and on and not always reliable ferry service between STT and ST Croix (about 90 minutes.) Those who travel between the USVI and PR do so by plane, either "puddle jumpers" or regular jets. Cheers!
