I'm moving to Guam and will work on Anderson AFB....what is the best neighborhood to live? I'm looking for a single family house which is newer that is a convenient commute to the base.

Would commuting from further away be a hassle?

One more any good mountain biking on Guam?

Thanks

Yes, there is great mountain biking on Guam and a cycling federation if you choose to join. I recommend going to Hornet sporting goods store to get all the info.

If you are moving to AAFB, I suggest Perez Acres. It's on Yigo and probably about 5 mins away from the base. It's a gated community and the house are townhouse-style.

We lived there for about a year and then decided to move inside the base coz we're there most of the time anyways AND everything outside the base is pretty expensive. You'll be surprised of the price difference even on something as basic as milk

LogicWings, none of the exchanges in Guam allow guests, and at the Navy commissary, you're restricted to buying only five of each item, (cans of tuna, for example). I'm not sure of the AF commissary's policy on that, though.
