Since I am not yet familiar with all areas of STT , or any areas on the island for the matter of fact, I'm wondering about the area around Cowpet Bay where I'm considering the purchase. Any information would be helpful especially if one thinks I would be better off looking in a different area of the island. Thanks in advance. Cheers, jeff
Now THAT'S a great area! Maybe I'm a little biased because I wet to school at I.E.K.H.S (formerly Nazareth High School) and used to be all over that area, but as STT pointed out, generally very quiet.

midnite rider: not sure your point here where the "so far so good comment" is concerned. This is not the most active forum to go to when seeking info about moving here or buying property is concerned. There are several other sites which can offer you much more information than that which you'll find here and I'll be more than happy to provide you the links if you DM me. Cheers!

St.Thomas is where I was born and raised. The island has changed quite a bit over the years. Sadly, the native local population has been flooded with illegal persons who tend to bring a WIDE ARRAY of bad habits (Guns, Drugs, Gangs, Violence, etc.....) This does NOT mean that as a whole the island is unsafe. Our incidents are usually sensationalized due to the size and population of the island. I wouldn't cancel your plans to have a VERY enjoyable time in our lovely island home. I would ask that you use every precaution that you would any where else you went in your everyday life. Once there are criminals, there will be crime. The islands are no exception.

OMG why is music the first thing that gets blamed. In the 50's talk about dating ones self ROCK AND ROLL WAS THE DEVILS MUSIC.Before that during the 40's Swing would definitely put you in hell. Why not blame society in general. Do not pick one part
