So ... here we are with Ana and possibly Bill on their way. How do you guys prepare for such events? What duration of no power and no water should I be ready for? Since we are a small island evacuation is not really an option, so what are the options?
I live on the coast and have a really pretty view of the ocean. My building seems sturdy enough to sustain strong winds, but what about water surge?
I don't even know what to ask, so any of your experience and recollection will be a great help.
I was there for Georges. I went 49 days with no power. We had water most of the time but a day here and there it was out also. be prepared for "Hurricane prices" on everything!!!! Stock up on water, dry food, and gas if possible.
