I second that.

I think obesity is more of an American problem. And all those fast food restaurants in PR are not helping.

No, I don't think so.

I get mistake for Brazilian all the time, and I'm Puerto Rican...from Puerto Rico (not from the CONUS).

I know what you mean. But it's comparing apples to oranges. Both have their styles when comparing them from the states to PR women. The one thing that they DO have in common is strong determination, and they are VERY strong minded women, and some can have a strong temper as well. I know because my mother was one, and I'm also married to one

They are tuff with an attitude and can be very independed and carry thier own, but I love that

Well, it is true that puertorican women are beautiful, but in my last trips to PR I have seen a overweight epidemic. One thing is to have curves, another thing is to be flat out fat. Worst yet, the fatter they are, the tighter the clothes, which is a recipe for disaster. Note that some of this overweight girls are actually very sexy and beautiful, but they just let themselves go. I know is hard, because puertorican food is amazingly tasty but very greasy. And let's not start with the puertorican girls in NY or Orlando, even worst.

It involves a combination of sprawl design, high car dependence and bad food.

But the food has been part of our culture for long time, doubt it's the sole cause for fatties.
