I'm tired of residences, let's talk retail.

Dorado

Dorado is not home to any indoor malls, mostly strip malls. It also has a very peculiar downtown. Unlike most PR municipalities, the historic downtown is still a great place to find interesting shops, restaurants and venues.

Mahi Mahi Shopping Village

Locales
1. Walgreens
2. Ponderosa
3. Oriental Palace (El restaurante original de PR y mejor que el de Plaza :tongue2
4. Quizno's
5. Martin's BBQ
6. D'Liz Boutique
7. Salón las Estrellas (hair salon)
8. La Hacienda Meat Center (¡La mejor comida gourmet!)
9. Glidden
10. FirstBank
11. D'Animal Zone

Walgreens and CVS as always on each corner of this block. They succeeded at eliminating the Puerto Rican alternative, El Amal. Though, El Amal is entirely responsible for not updating its services in such a competitive market.

Carr. 693 - (Rd. 693)

^^^^ Toward the suburbs

^^^^ Towards the historic downtown

Dorado Shopping Center

1. Pizza Hut
2. Goodyear
3. Subway
4. Rave
5. Pitusa
6. Radioshack
7. Kalichee's Surf Shop
8. Farmacia El Amal
9. Taco Bell
10. Dorado EyeCare
11. Armonía Natural (Health Food & Energy Supplements)
12. Cafetería & Panadería (llevan mucho tiempo allí)
13. Payless Shoesource
14. Foot Locker
15. Dorado Fit
16. Open Mobile
17. Kress
18. Burger King
19. Me $alvé
20. Hair Salon

Plaza Dorada & Paseo La Plata

At the intersection of Rd. 693 and José Efron Ave., these two strip malls combine to form a mega strip mall.

5. Lady America Fitness Center
6. Sweet Ann Cakes

This is a new strip mall in Dorado (still under construction)

Doramar Plaza

La construcción está full throttle. Ya el edificio de Wendy's está completado. Es del estilo nuevo de Wendy's. Los de iHop y Krispy Kreme casi listos.

The Wendy's building is already finished. IHOP and Krispy Kreme are almost done.

Two roundabouts are also being built.

Olive Garden was negotiating to open here, but nothing confirmed.

If you are single and your job has asked you if you can relocate..Do it!! Worst scenario you come back to your position where you are now.Just don't do it if you are moving your whole family, wife ,kids etc..The school system sucks and hospitals if you have kids.

If he can afford private school and private health insurance, why not?!!?!

On another note, don't generalize!

I know of plenty of public schools that are well above average with excellent academics and "electronic whiteboards".

Private health insurance sucks, but this is a problem all Americans face, and I even know people who have come to Dorado with their old health insurance.

All in all, I think Dorado is the place for English speakers. I dunno why they like it here so much. Dorado and Rincón. Hell, I even met a neighbor who is Scottish. Awesome!
