Hello all, I am in New Jersey.

I am hoping someone can clarify my next step.

I just completed my Tier 3 & received my last check two weeks ago.

I received today a " NOTICE OF BENEFIT DETERMINATION-EXTENDED UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION 2008(EUC) "

It checked the Box " You are eligible for Extended Unemployment Compensation 2008(EUC) as of: 06-27-2010

It gave a " Maximum Benefit Amount Under Exhausted Unemployment Claim: ( $15K)

and

Maximum Benefit Amount Under EUC: ($11K)

"this amount is equal to 20 times your weekly benefit rate of 80% of the max benefit amount on your regular claim, w/c amount is less.

The official DATE OF MAILING on the letter was 07-06-2010

MY QUESTION IS: DO I need to do anything ? All I got was this letter. Did not get any DATE or Claim Benefits form on how & when to call again in order to received benefits.

Or will I received another Claim Benefits instruction letter separately in a few days??

Any feedback/advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds to me like this letter refers to the additional 20 week extended benefit program. As I recall, NJ shares the cost of this with the federal government. With no extensions passed, I would think you will not be moved to the NJ EB program at this time. Diorgirl would know that definitively.

Don't think you need to call anyone right now. Just wait and see.

It sounds like a computer generated generic notice. As you've exhausted all EUC tiers they should move you to NJ state EB which does NOT rely on federal funding being passed.
