If you voluntarily quit a job then it is much more difficult to obtain unemployment. You will need to provide a reason you could not have stayed behind and maintained that job. Are you dependent on your family for housing/livelihood? Were you in a dangerous or violent situation that forced you to move? Even if these things are true, it may be hard to convince the unemployment office that you meet the requirements for unemployment insurance.
If you did want to attempt a claim, I believe you would need to do so in the state you worked.
