Does anyone know if a person would still be eligible to collect unemployment benefits in NJ while working as an independent contractor? I recently started with a company doing home parties to earn extra money. It is not consistent work and I still plan on seeking fulltime employment. The home parties are at night and/or weekends. I was layed-off from a fulltime career position and cannot file till next week. I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize my benefits or send a red flag. Would appreciate any input.
