I was laid off due to no work, and i have a mandatory recall date. But yet my unemployment is still saying that i am monetarily ineligible. I have made over $5,000 each Calendar Quarter and i just have no idea what else to do. I have been trying to contact the local unemployment office, and still nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

What state are you in? Did you appeal the decision?

Good luck with NC. Did you file in December? If so, they are considering wages from July 2009 - June 2010. The quarter in which you file and the quarter preceding that are ignored, unless the state has an alternate method of qualifying people.

If you are just filing now, that last quarter July-Sept. 2010 quarter might be an issue. Did you check the NC state website for minimum wages and high quarter info?
