I have Called, Wrote Letters, Faxed, ect, regarding the Extension of Unemployement Benefits, Bill 4213, for the Current Unemployed.

But what about the 99er's, the ones who no longer have resources, as they have "fallen" off the radar?

Other than our hopes with Ed Schultz & his daily message reminding of our plight,

& a current March on Washington, that I have not even seen reported in the News!!!

With the current fight to extend benefits for those who have not yet collected the maximum benefites for their state, Being the Total Focus...

Where is any Hope for the Hopeless, basically Voiceless folks loosing a means of contact via Internet, Phone, ect?
Or is this Washington's Ploy?

These are Desperate People Also; People With Faces; Families; Excellant Job Skills in the Face of joblessness.

I realize human nature is for Survival, a "me" first attitude; but there are so many, who knows the "Real" number of Unemployed, Past being Counted. Or who were never counted in the first place, due to not collecting benefits, which seems to be the new norm, deny basic unemployemnt benefits.

But amidst our cry for continued benefits, & our goverments blase attitute, & ignorance, somehow the total, whole picture of this crisis is being missed, When it should be blantant.

Guess ignore-ance, or ignorance, is easier.

I know there are no answers, just a "hamster wheel" of over & over frustration, despair, .... & the above rant.

I can see this and basically how many petitions, faxes, emails, calls, marches can they ignore. Well ALL OF THEM!~!!! Its over for us. I accepted that a long time ago. Do I like it, no way but what can we do?? Its all been done. Its over.

The hope is that this extension goes through until November then additional stimulus proposed by the White House will cover exhaustees.

I don't have much hope the Congress will pass a tier 5 but that does not stop me from contacting them. All it costs me is a little bit of time.

I think extension may go thru, however 99ers doomed. My opinion is not always right.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply;

I am pretty much resigned also to what you wrote.

I just can't help but think about others, especially the families with children; but guess that is where our over-indebt state resources are going to have to be invested.

Doesn't look good for those who use up all 99 weeks thats for sure. Just the regular tiers1-4 now are having a hard time to pass in congress..I doubt congress would even extend EB anymore at 100% paid by Feds or extend that extra $25 (FAC). When they want to make cuts..no doubt the unemployed will be first..but to pass a unemployment bill we will be last!

My benefits ended around 93 weeks. I think 99 weeks is a record long time for unemployment benefits. And people on that should have already stabilized to be ready for no more benefits. Like moving in with family or parents. Or taking in renters for a room in your house...

But if more benefits are passed I don't know how I will get them when TX Unemployment no longer certifies for weeks past my 93 week expiration.

In NJ we don't certify once we have exhausted all benefits, but by law if we are entitle to any future benefits they have to send us a letter and inform us about it..to see if we are still qualified.

It is hard to prepare if no Family or Parents!!!

That is Not a Resource for Many; But if it was, that would be a comfort!

My preparation will be a car & a sleeping bag!!

Many like this out there, just not seen, so easily forgotton!!

Oh, hard to rent a room in a foreclosed home!!!!!!!!
& a room rent will not pay mortgage payments & utilities!!
