Today I tried to claim on EB and got this message :
Your certification cannot be completed online as your benefit year has expired.
Please call the Reemployment Call Center at (856) 507-2340, (732) 761-2020 or (201) 601-4100.
Press "2" to speak to an agent to see if you qualify for a new claim.

I know I had a balance with over 3k that they were paying me on EB. If I call tomorrow I should be fine with a new claim right? This is NJ btw.

DO NOT OPEN A NEW CLAIM!!!

This thread should answer your questions.

Start dialing tomorrow slightly before 7AM and keep hitting redial until you get through. You will speak to a rep who will look at your account. The funds will be un-frozen and you'll have the $$$ in your account by Wednesday AM.

DO NOT OPEN A NEW CLAIM!!!

Are you sure your on EB? EB is when younsend in biweekly job search forms in NJ. It sounds like you are on one of the extension tiers and your benefit year expired.

THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!!! IT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

@Tuck91NYG

I exhausted my regular benefits and was granted an extension. This just happened today apparently because it happens on the year anniversary of your original claim according to that link he posted.

I guess you can't edit posts I didn't see an option for it. All is well I followed what MotherLeeds13 told me to do and called in at 7AM and got through in 10 minutes. All they asked me is if I have worked since my claim(which I have not) and they said ok, we just processed a payment for you. Have a nice day. Now everything is back to normal. Thank you MotherLeeds13!!
