Here is my situation: I lost my job in CA, moved to IL, and have been collecting CA EDD benefits. Right now, I am receiving 1st tier extension benefits. I've been offered temp work for a couple of months and wondered how this would affect my current EDD UI.
Once the temp work ends and if I don't other work, can I reopen my CA EDD extension benefits or not or would I have to file a new claim in IL and be done completely with CA?
If my temp job lasts longer than 6 months, would I be eligible for IL benefits? If less than 6 months, what are my options?
I looked at the IL weekly benefit chart- just to be sure I am reading it correctly, are the amounts listed the total amount for 6 months?
Any help is appreciated!!
