I know it used to be you'd submit 2 a week, but have heard it's changed to 5.

Now the article I read didn't really clarify if it was asking you every two weeks when you claim extended benefits to enter 5 work searches total, or 5 per week which would be 10 total for two weeks.

Phone line is obv busy and the info on their site is kind of dated.

I know when I drew unemployment I was told to keep work search records from day one which I have. I have an entire log book of searches I've done per week, I attempt to do 5 a week minimum. Small city, times are hard; even fast food places you have competition. Anyways. Last week I certified 1 week of unemployment and then the second week was suspended because they chose to audit my work search. I basically filled it out on the website which has a record of the last 4 weeks and I called them back. They lifted my suspension after verifying my work search was acceptable. I believe it is 5 searches per week but you only have to record it into your log book they prefer you not to submit it through the site. I was told on the phone just to keep a record, so that next time they audit me I just go on the website, enter it all and then contact them so they can verify it. Up until I was audited I just kept a work search history in my notebook. I never submitted it online. Not sure what the reason is behind them not wanting you to always submit it online; it's possible that when you do this it makes more work for them when it's easier just to do a random audit and then a quick verification. Maybe someone who works for the unemployment office can shed more light on this if they read this; I'm sure it's different for every state/country/etc.

I read a recent news article saying that some Floridians were complaining that when they entered their work searches online it was playing havok with the system and they'd have to call and manually do it after to get back in the system so maybe that's why they don't want you doing it every week? Can't find the link.

How long does it normally take for them to process your EB after your last tier? I got my last tier check processed last tuesday and was able to file EB on thursday so still waiting. Saturday I got a paper form for filing for EB but just put that aside as I figured that I already applied online. Do you remember how long it took for yours to be processed?
