A job that recently laid me off called me and said they could bring me back for like a month or two at most.

I do not want to do that because I would just be in the same spot I am now and those two months (job is not local) would greatly interfere with the plans I have already set up for the remainder of the year and the new year. Also, I am now looking for a job in another field.

What is the best way to refuse the job so that I can still keep my benefits?

Is it the same identical job that you were laid off from, and I mean in every way? If so, then it's nearly impossible to prove that it is unsuitable.

However, if it's not absolutely identical, then tell us what's different and maybe we can find a loophole.
