What I have never figured out, this may vary state to state, why does UI certification require you to put in information on what you made for the week even though was never paid by the employer?
I know when I went to work last year on what was suppose to be a part time and temporary position, I was still filing certification, I had to go near 3 weeks before I ever got paid and had to borrow gas money and everything else to get by on, sure those 3 weeks you aint unemployed, but you not getting money either, I think I had to cheat it one week just to get a few dollars, they never asked me about any over payments though, least not yet. It really seems when it comes to UI benefits that no one, not even the government really has any clue on what the money is supposed to be used for, obviously with gas prices and the fact you need gas to search many places is not factored in and has no bearing on anything.
