Yes. If you are receiving state benefits and have not exhausted those by the benefit year end date, they are lost, as are any federal benefits attached to that claim. It is use it or lose it.
If you are on a federal program, that continues until the balance is exhausted, or UE rate or lookbacktrigger state off. Once you begin the federal benefit program, the bye does not terminate your benefits, although you are subject to monetary evaluation before they continue.

I have been receiving first UI extension (I assume it is PEUC) from NY for a couple of weeks
however my Benefit Year End is approaching in the mid March. Will I have to reapply or situation
with PEUC is different from the state extension ? Thanks in advance.
