during this economy.

I cannot take anymore bad luck. I had a temp position back in September which lasted about a month and then it ended which was my fault I will admit to that. However, I don't ever recall having so much bad luck with finding and keeping a job ever in my whole life.

Recently, I found another temp job, and they just ended it because I left work on time(6pm) and didn't show them the work that I did for the day. Mind you, my manager never told me that I had to hand her my work at the ending of every shift. They tell me this a week later. Why didn't they tell me this on the first day that I was hired. Now I have no job because I left work at 6pm when I was scheduled to leave.

I'm having so much bad luck for whatever reason. I can't take it anymore. I'm not trying to feel sorry for myself, but I have bills to pay and I don't understand this. I feel like my problem is that I need to find a permanent job and not to take on anymore temp jobs, since they can just up and fire you for anything at anytime. In this economy, temp jobs are the only jobs that I can find so I'm desperatley taking any job, but losing them as fast as I'm finding them.

Anyone else experiencing this?

You're not alone. I have never had this much trouble finding work before either. I can't even get temp agencies to call me back My background is in retail management and hospitality. Seven years ago I "left" the job market (after 7 months of looking--was pregnant so I can't really blame them for not hiring me) and went back to school and earned my AS through MBA. Now I can't find work because I haven't worked in the past 7 years. I volunteered that whole time with a non-profit though. Of the 11 companies (give or take )I have worked for in my life all but 2 have closed...and of course this is my fault as well (according to the attitude I get from companies).

So...in the end, just keep looking and know that you are not alone

I moved 3000 miles for a temp job on my own dime that I borrowed from my parents... worked 5 months then got hired permanent in October.

My background is in manufacturing and this job is for a top Boeing supplier. It was my first time dealing with a temp agency. I was unemployed 14 months and took a huge risk that paid off in the end.

Good luck.

I may be too blunt but if you keep losing your job, it has nothing to do with luck but every bit to do with YOU. You just simply don't know how to work.

You are not alone though. About 80% of people don't know how to work. A simple question would tell.

What is your real job? If you are an engineer, receptionist, programmer, account, doesn't matter, what is your real job?

If you don't the correct answer, then you just don't know how to work. Simple as that. :-)

That is excellent. In this market, the job seekers must be aggressive, and you were.

Welcome to the depression. It is very hard to get a job, even if you spend every waking hour looking. And jobs do not last as long as they used to. When you are lucky enough to be on a job (and don't forget, every day at work is a blessing) keep looking. Your luck is really not any worse than many others.
