A couple of questions, please. I exhausted Tier I on 2/25/12 and will get 14 weeks of Tier II. Then I have to file another claim April 2 because my current claim will be a year old.

My questions are, because I have no income other than unemployment for the year, will my benefit rate remain the same as it is now in Tier II for the 4 weeks leading up to when I have to re file my claim and after I refile my claim for the remainder of Tier II? Right now my claim has "0" balance showing on webcert and the first week of my filing under Tier II is this coming Sunday March 4.

I don't know if the new legislation going into affect will have any affect on the amount I get in Tier II before and after my claim re file and I also don't know if the new legislation will delay my next payment.

Weekly benefit rates remain the same for the life of the claim.

New legislation does not result in a change in weekly benefit amount or delay in payment, unless your state has some kind of a computer programming problem. Beginning in June, the states need to meet certain UR rate triggers in order to continue paying Tiers 2, 3, and 4. After September 2nd, the number of tier weeks paid changes.

I checked on line this morning and my new balance and new payment is listed and it is the same amount as you said it would be. The only confusing thing is the balance plus payment indicates that I will be getting 13 weeks, not the 14 weeks I'm supposed to be getting. Anyone know why this is?
