The lady who called about the job on Thursday called back today which was because she was off on Friday for the Holiday. So she asked was i available to come in tomorrow for a interview and I said yes and then asked
Would you prefer morning or afternoon?..............MORNING!!!
Would you like to come in at 9am or would 10am be better...............9am!!!!
LOL, I defintely would have preferred to come in at 1pm but I wasn't sure if they were trying to sneakily see if I had lazy tendencies-lol
BTW: I would have liked if the interview was on Thursday since she called today but at this point I can't be picky anymore

I always opt for the earliest time no matter how much I'm not a morning person because I want to a) know and b) just in case that's what they are doing.
However, I think most of the time, they really are just trying to adjust their schedule.
Then again, everything I thought I knew, I realized I don't.
Because of a statistical model referred to as "Hiring a Secretary," it was an example of how when you're short or time, there are rules to follow to maximize your chances hiring the best candidate. One of the rules was: Never hire the first one.
Based on that, I never try to be the first one interviewed.
I always schedule them for the afternoon as they are usually more able by the afternoon to take the time. I usually just tell the interviewer that I have another "commitment" in the am and take the slightly later time. They almost always ask if I am applying to other jobs in the interview and as the answer is yes, I have never had any trouble.

And SO glad you heard from them!!!
I was getting annoyed with my family over the weekend because they were telling me she probably took off friday because of the Holiday and will probably call on Tuesday. And I was like..."Whatever, I blew" lol Her asking me to come in tomorrow must mean they are trying to hurry up and fill the position because normally when someone calls you to come in for a interview they ask you to come in 2 days later. Never the next day.
Glad I got a haircut last week because I had a feeling I would have a interview before June.
This is my first actual face to face interview since February. The previous interviews were Phone and Speed Interview at a Hire fair
I am glad that she didn't
1. Do a Phone screening
2. ask me on the phone...."are you working now?"
I have a answer for that if asked face to face-lol
Spin that one into a positive. I always say I was in school (which is true) and now I am being picky, as I didn't invest the time and money into education to just take any job out there.
I figure that implies that I am picky but not desperate...and I think part of the unemployed not getting jobs is the perspective of desperation. I have gotten positive responses and this answer actually got me the temp job I had for 6 months, so I guess it works.
