I went on NJ unemployment in June of 2011. After I exhausted the first part, I was put on an old 2008 claim which I am still on (tier 4) and is running out next week. My question is will I still be eligible to continue my claim from 2011?

Thank you in advance

Yes, if:
  1. The claim qualifies for EUC, and
  2. 2008 Tier IV is exhausted and you begin payments on 2011 Claim tiers before Claim 2 bye in June.
In NJ, in order to qualify for EUC, if the 2011 claim is not based on 20 weeks' wages, the total base wages used for that claim must equal at least 40x its weekly benefit.

If you aren't sure, call NJ.

I didn't get anything in the mail telling me when to claim so i called and one person told me that i could call on tues or thurs being that my ss# is an even number. Then i call again and someone says that i have to call in on thurs, which i did and the money didn't post to my account on that sat. I would like to know do i call on tues or thurs. No one there seems to know. I live in NJ.
