I have read through a lot of threads and can't find an answer to this...
I was laid off back in Sept. 2011 My benefit year expires Sept 8 2012. I got a new job in Nov 2011 so I didnt collect very long. Well now I was let go of this new job in June 2012. I filed for unemployment and they went off of my old benefit so it is now about to expire and I need to open a new claim.
My question is do I have to go through the entire process again? Are they going to contact my previous employers again??

Yes. If your original claim was for 26 weeks, you won't exhaust your state benefits before your bye so you won't transition to EUC. Therefore, your only option is to hope you qualify for a new state claim. MA will send inquiries to your most recent employer again, possibly the one previous to that.
