Hey everyone, I did some searching, and couldn't find what I was looking for.. I'm a 99 weeker...got laid off in 6/2009, and started collecting my unemployment, and I collected up to the max 99 weeks. I haven't worked since I was laid off besides some minor and temporary landscaping work, and I recently , (day or two ago) re applyed for unemployment, after I heard that a few people who have been jobless for so long have started collecting again. Now.....this could be some miscommunication between the people I heard it from by the time word got to me...but I just wanted to know what people have been doing after being jobless for an extended time and if anyone has begun collecting again if even its a small amount.

Any help is much appreciated.

-Shawn

Those who've started collecting again might be receiving benefits from an unexhausted old claim.

There are no additional benefits other than what you've collected so far. See FAQS for federal program through the end of this year.

We have another thread on what the unemployed are doing, here:
