Hoping someone can help me. I would appreciate it so much. Got two forms today. One stating my weekyl benefit rate, and another form that states I am ineligible for benefits from 10/14/12 - 10/20/12 and then states I have been employed full time from 10/14/12 and that I am ineligible. I am not employed full time and I am wondering is this because I worked a certain amount of hours that week so I am just denied that week, or am I denied all together? I am so confused and any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Is this a new claim?
If so, when did you file?
Were you given instructions on how to file for benefits?
You are already owed for weeks ending 10/27, 11/3, 11/10.
If you haven't been given filing instructions, call NJ. If you have filing instructions, file for the weeks you are owed.

i hope you did not lie and this is them catching you. you can work part time but you can't make over a certain % and get full unemployment benefits too. call them

He just got his monetary determination so, clearly, this is a new claim. It has nothing to do with not reporting income. He states the week he filed he also worked and had income, so NJ is not paying that week and may have even disqualified his claim entirely.
He needs to call NJ and get this claim opened properly.
Advice to anyone - don't open an unemployment claim in a week in which you have worked - with the possible exception of CA. Earnings in the week you file often confuses the computers. As a general rule, you are not harmed by waiting until Monday of the following week to open a claim. |

For future readers...CA counts the week in which you file your claim as the "waiting week" no matter how much or how little you make. So, if you are fired on Friday afternoon and call EDD in CA, the claim will start the Sunday of the week. As such, the waiting week and the week in which you would have been denied for making too much money become one in the same. |
