Hello all,

I've been an avid reader since I got terminated for alleged misconduct (which I denied and existed no proof beyond others words against mine) on 7.22.12. Won my claims review with no penalty for
misconduct as it was unfounded. Now after my state benefits just ended this week I gott 2etters in the mail today. One which stated I qualify for Tier 1 benefits and the other stating my former employer filed for appeal on 8.20.12 with the telephone hearing scheduled on 2.6.13.
I was not aware they appealed but now I'm concerned ill be going a long while without receiving payment for weekly claimed benefits. If only had I known there was an upcoming appeal perhaps I could planned more diligently to be without income for a long period of time. And I also understand NJ takes a long time to pay back pay after winning an appeal? Any share similar experiences? Am I right to assume I won't receive benefits for the upcoming weeks and possibly months since I received this letter today with the hearing set about 2 weeks from now?
Thanks for any input or advice. It's frustrating but I suppose I'm not alone in this process.

Your benefits were approved after a review of the misconduct allegation - and will continue.

Only if the employer wins on 2/6 (unlikely), will your benefits stop. Wonder if the employer will even bother to participate at this late date.
