Yes. My wba is $581. Total earnings for base period around $15,600. Fails 40x test. I'm on partial unemployment, working part time. I'll be seeing a rep on Monday to discuss. I do apreciate your help, you help a lot of people on this forum.

Good afternoon, just a short update: the UE rep has scheduled me for a phone appointment May 2nd. My claim balance will be zero before the appointment, not sure if that matters...anything I should do besides wait for the appointment?

There isn't anything to do except have all your facts and figures in order. A phone interview is a positive sign in my view. At least they are willing to listen in a reasonable timeframe.

Keep us posted - and good luck.

Ok, so I had the phone interview and it seemed to go well. The rep pulled up my Florida wages and said she would file a combined wage claim to pull my claim to the 20 week mark, therefore eligible for EUC. I will see what happens and update the community. I may owe some money if my weekly benefit rate goes down, we'll see. The answers will come early next week via phone call from the DOL.

Yes, in NJ your weekly benefit amount might go down when they average in the FL wages. Hopefully, the ability to collect up to 47 weeks' EUC, or at the very least to the end of this year, should compensate for that.

Keep in mind, at some point in the next month, NJ will be reducing EUC benefits due to the sequester - probably in the area of 18%, but they haven't announced the details as yet.

Otherwise, that's terrific news. So, once again, it is worth the effort to try to correct monetary determination and other problems.

Looking forward to your next update.

[SIZE=2]Update: NJ has filed a combined wage claim. They were suprisingly quick with the process. My weekly benefit rate did go down slightly, so I have a refund balance (I owe some money). However, the intercepted benefits will pay it off in a few weeks and then I'll be back on track. Glad this worked out and I appreciate you (Ariadne22) for all your help.

To summarize (hopefully im being clear on here):
My original nj unemployment claim did not have enough base weeks to qualify for EUC. The claim was originally 16 weeks based off of my work in NJ. However, I had eligible base weeks from the state of Florida during that same base year. I had scheduled an appointment for monetary review after being rejected for EUC, where the state then filed a combined wage claim to include the wages and base weeks from my work in Florida. My new weekly benefit rate was slightly lower (wages were slightly lower in Fl), but my claim has gone from being a 16 week claim to a 24 week claim. Back on schedule in a few weeks once my refund balance catches up. Will be eligible for EUC after the new claim runs out.
